The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of physical education, sport, and physical activity for all pupils. At Castleford Park Junior Academy, we use this funding to ensure that every child has access to high-quality PE lessons, a wide range of sporting opportunities, and positive experiences that support healthy, active lifestyles.
Our aim is to develop pupils’ physical skills, confidence, and enjoyment of sport, while encouraging lifelong participation in physical activity.

As part of the PE and Sport Premium requirements, schools must publish information about swimming provision and outcomes by the end of Key Stage 2.

Each year, we review swimming outcomes for our Year 6 pupils and use PE and Sport Premium funding, where appropriate, to support swimming provision and improve outcomes for all children.
Schools are required to publish details of how the PE and Sport Premium is spent and the impact it has on pupils. We regularly review our provision to ensure the funding is used effectively and continues to enhance PE and sport for all children.
