You are here: Parents - Medical Information
When your child starts school you will be asked to complete a form outlining any medical history that we should be aware of. It is important that this record is kept up to date.
Please do not send your child to school if they seem unwell. In the event of illness at school, we will contact you. We will do all we can to comfort your child but we do not have the staffing or facilities to care for children who are unwell for a lengthy period of time. Any child who is physically sick should be kept at home for 48 hours before returning to school.
If your child sustains a minor injury whilst at school, we will administer first aid. If your child has a head injury or a more serious injury, we will always provide you with notification of this and speak to you in person wherever we can. All injuries are recorded.
If your child needs medicine during the school day we require you to complete a form at the school office. We only ever administer medicines that are prescribed by your doctor and where the dosage is higher than three times a day.
If your child suffers from allergies please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make sure that school remains safe and that they have an up to date risk assessment to alert all staff caring for them during the day.
