School Admissions Appeal Timetable 2016

Appeals for transfer to Primary School (Reception Year & Year 3 2016/17)


 

Wednesday 16 April 2016 – Local Offer Date

Parents are informed of where their child has been offered a school place. Parents who have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place at their preferred school will be sent an Admission Appeal form and guidance on the appeals process. Parents are requested to complete and return their Appeal form within 20 school days.


 

Monday 2 June 2016 – Deadline for submitting Appeal Forms

All parents will be given the full 20 school days to submit their appeal. No appeals will be arranged or heard until the deadline for submitting Appeal forms has passed. Important - If you submit your Appeal form after this deadline, your appeal may not be heard with all the other appeals being heard for that school.


 

Tuesday 17 June 2016 onwards – Appeal hearings

No appeals will be heard before this date due to the required notice period. Parents will be sent a letter informing them of the date and time of the appeal hearing. At least 10 school days notice of the hearing date will be given.


 

Appeals for mid-year transfers

Parents are requested to complete and return their Appeal form within 20 school days from the date of notification that their application was unsuccessful. Appeals will usually be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. Parents will be sent a letter informing them of the date and time of the appeal hearing. At least 10 school days notice of the hearing date will be given.
