Food Bank Notice

During this most recent national lockdown and school closure CPJA are setting up a "Food Bank" within school which will be a straight forward system of collection (by request) of basic food items to support our families in times of crisis.

The "Food Bank" will be based in school, and is being run by staff volunteering their time with support from the CPJA senior leadership team and school governors.

Anyone wishing to obtain a food parcel MUST contact Donna, Inclusion Manager at school (01977 518959) or Mrs Roberts via Bloomz to arrange a collection slot (this is just to ensure social distancing measures are maintained).

In the first instance food parcels will be only for families of the school, however if we have the capacity we may be able to extend this to our local community.

All donations of non-perishable food will be gratefully received.  If you would like to make a donation please bring them to the school office between the hours of 10am- 2pm school days.  Below is a list of ideal items to donate –

  • Cereal

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Castleford Park Junior Academy's Website. As a whole staff team, our aim is to ensure that your children have the opportunity to experience an exciting, challenging curriculum at their fingertips. We hope to inspire life-long learning and equip them for the future - whatever aims and aspirations they have.

The children are at the centre of everything that we aim to achieve - considering their safety, happiness and learning needs. As Head, I will strive to ensure that this is possible at all times. We welcome any feedback that will help us improve further in order to meet this aim.

For further information, please read our school's Teaching and Learning Vision that we wrote together and aim to meet in every area of the curriculum.
